Quick Notes for Using the Computer OSX.2 (Jaguar)

This is by no means a comprehensive list of information on how to use OSX.2. For people who are just starting out, however, this should be a helpful list.

Apple Key + S = save
Apple Key + P = print
Apple Key + C = copy
Apple Key + V = paste
Apple Key + N = Creates a new page in the program that you're currently using.
Apple Key + Q = Quits the program that you're using.

Click the red button on the left to close a window.
Click the yellow button to hide it momentarily - it will be in the right side of the dock.

IS A PROGRAM OPENED OR CLOSED?
If an icon has a little triangle under it in the dock, then it's open.
To close the program, click and hold. A menu will appear... don't unclick....
Slide up to Quit.
This will close the program.
Try not to keep too many programs open at the same time if you're not using them.

IF A PROGRAM CRASHES OR FREEZES
Click on the desktop (the blue design on your screen - not inside any
of the white windows).
Click on the blue apple in the upper left corner of the screen.
Pull down to Force Quit.
This will show a list of programs that are open.
Click on the program that is frozen.
Click Force Quit.
