A

Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Summer Student Internship
The Academy Foundation Internships are designed to provide qualified full-time students (undergraduate and graduate) pursuing degrees at colleges and universities in the United States with in-depth exposure to professional television production, techniques and practices. Most Academy Foundation Internships are located in Los Angeles. The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation awards $2,500 to each intern accepted into the program - half to be paid at the mid-point of the internship and half upon successful completion of the program. Applicable payroll deductions are made from payments. In addition, any intern who permanently resides outside Los Angeles County, California will receive an additional $500 for travel/housing.

Aeromet Science Internship
Provide administrative and technical support to projects within the Atmospheric Programs Department. Computer data entry, write reports, prepare charts and tables, perform data analyses, perform literature searches, and accomplish other tasks as assigned. Must have completed junior year as a meteorology major, including two years of physics, two years of calculus, and four courses in Atmospheric Science or Meteorology required to complete their degree program.

American Conservatory Theater Production Internships
Internships in the areas of Artistic, Administration, and Production in the San Francisco Bay Area. A.C.T.'s internship program provides advanced training in both theater production and administration. The program offers students, graduates and other interested persons the opportunity to work closely with top professionals in each field. It is through this exposure to professionals at work—and to their audience—that our interns learn what drama means to the life of a community, and how the life of a community enriches its theater.

American Museum of Natural History High School Internship Program
Juniors and seniors in high school are matched with mentors throughout the Museum so they can learn about the inner workings of the Museum.

American Museum of Natural History Research Experiences for Undergraduates
As the world becomes more interconnected every day, there is a great need to increase American students' exposure to global cultures. Across the United States, international students help Americans to expand their understanding of other countries and establish lifelong friendships with members of their American host communities.

American Nuclear Society Washington Internships for Students of Engineering
The WISE Program is co-sponsored by several professional engineering societies and the National Science Foundation. The Program is open to students in engineering or technology and policy programs who are in their junior or senior year of undergraduate studies or in graduate school. During their internship they attend a series of seminars to learn how government officials make decisions on complex technological issues and how engineers can contribute to legislative and regulatory public policy decisions. Each intern also completes an independent research project and paper dealing with a technology policy issue.

Baltimore Opera Studio Vocal Training Program
The Baltimore Opera Studio is a directed training program designed to prepare young singers for a career in opera and is specifically intended to bridge the critical gap between academic training and professional experience. Studio Artists enter into a comprehensive training schedule of weekly classes in voice, acting, movement, stage combat and languages. Special classes focusing on audition techniques, dramatic improvisation, personal finance, stress management and career counseling are also offered.

Black & Veatch Summer Internships and Co-op Employment
Black & Veatch has summer employment and co-op opportunities for college students in many different areas. These are paid positions and are open to college seniors, juniors, sophomores and freshmen. The number of available positions is closely tied to their project workload. The majority of the positions are located in the Kansas City area.

Boeing Corporation Internship Program
Internships at Boeing have become an increasingly important part of their long-term, company-wide technical workforce development and university relations activities. The Internship Program has been continually evolving over the past eight years and is now recognized in several national publications as "one of the best programs of its kind in the United States."

California Student Aid Commission Work Study Program
This State-funded program was established in 1987-88 to provide eligible students, enrolled in postsecondary institutions, with the opportunity to earn money for the payment of educational costs while gaining experience in career/educational-related employment.

Center for Defense Information Internship
The Center for Defense Information, a nonpartisan, nonprofit research think tank NGO based in Washington, D.C., offers full-time paid internships in research, television, and computers/web editing. CDI's internship program was created over 15 years ago, and interns are an integral part of CDI's success.

Colorado Attorney General Internship Program
The Colorado Attorney General's office has about 200 lawyers working in the Office of the Attorney General and the Criminal Appellate Division and in seven sections: Consumer Protection, Criminal Justice, Natural Resources and Environment, Civil Litigation, Employment Law and Personnel, State Services, and Business and Licensing. Interns routinely draft pleadings and briefs, accompany attorneys on court appearances, and attend meetings with client agencies in addition to providing legal research and writing assistance.

Colorado Historical Society Internship

Join the education department volunteers and share with the public your knowledge and enthusiasm for Colorado's past. Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Summer Internship Program
The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) was established in 1978 by members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus as a non-profit, non-partisan educational organization dedicated to developing the next generation of Latino leaders. Every summer (early June-early August), 30 promising Latino undergraduates from across the country are selected for an eight-week program in the nation’s capital. While in DC, interns work in the offices of U.S. representatives. Interns benefit from the leadership development curriculum’s emphasis on work experience, community service, and learning. This comprehensive three-prong approach fosters critical professional development and personal growth in the participants.

Davis and Company Internships
Davis & Company is a consulting firm that helps companies reach, motivate and engage their employees. Interns at their company have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience. Typically, interns work on many different projects, including: writing short articles for newsletters and other publications; assisting in employee research projects; conducting information searches and benchmarking research; and participating in brainstorming and problem-solving.

Dow Jones Newspaper Fund Summer Internships
The Dow Jones Newspaper Fund will offer summer internships through five programs at daily newspapers, news services and online publications to more than 100 college students. Successful applicants attend free pre-internship training seminars on college campuses.

Filoli Center Garden Internship
Located in the San Francisco Bay Area, Filoli is a property of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Formerly a grand, 654-acre country place, Filoli is operated today as a public garden, cultural center and nature center. The program is designed for students majoring in horticulture, public garden management, landscape maintenance, and landscape architecture. Interns are taught techniques of planting, watering, hedging, fertilizing, mowing, pruning, etc. They are also taught to operate power equipment, use hand tools, and are required to learn garden and greenhouse plants, weeds, and native plants.

Florida Department of Education Clinical Educator Training
The Clinical Educator Training Program is a two-tiered program designed to provide direct training for peer coaches and clinical supervisors as well as training for the preparation and maintenance of the program’s trainer cadres. The program design provides training modules that develop clinical skills for the following: identification of performance standards; diagnosis of professional performance; feedback on performance; preparation and implementation of professional development plans; and reflection.

Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library & Museum Summer Internship
The internship program at the FDR Library has evolved into a unique educational experience for students of varied backgrounds and interests. Internship opportunities include the development of educational programs and materials for students and teachers of all grade levels; computer projects to help streamline the research process; public relations; archival research; the development of exhibits; and a variety of other activities.

Hawk Mountain Sanctuary Internship Program
Hawk Mountain Sanctuary Association is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1934, whose mission is to foster the conservation of birds of prey worldwide and their Appalachian environments. Each autumn and spring, Hawk Mountain selects up to five young conservationists for the Sanctuary's Internship Program. U.S. and international interns work closely in a mentor-student relationship with at least one senior staff member in education, research, or monitoring-biological survey. Interns receive free lodging and a small monthly stipend.
