Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority Work-Study Program
The KHEAA Work-Study Program (KWSP) provides career-related work experiences for eligible Kentucky residents attending approved in-state postsecondary institutions. The jobs are provided by Kentucky employers, at least 75 percent of whom are private entities. The student must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment at least half-time, be making satisfactory academic progress, and not be in default on any financial obligation to KHEAA under any program administered by KHEAA. Priority for jobs will be given to undergraduates.

Metropolitan Museum of Art Cloisters Summer Internship

National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute Summer Internship Program
The goal of the Summer Internship Program is to expose students, early in their academic careers, to research investigation in a highly enriched environment that is devoted exclusively to biomedical research and training. The program is open to high school and college students. Participants join a research laboratory for a minimum of eight weeks between June and August and conduct research in selected areas of investigation under the guidance of an NHLBI intramural research scientist.

The National Undergraduate Fellowship Program in Plasma Physics and Fusion Energy Sciences provides 25 outstanding undergraduates with an opportunity to conduct research in the disciplines that comprise the plasma sciences in general and fusion research in particular. The program is intended primarily for students completing their junior year majoring in physics or engineering, but highly motivated students completing their sophomore year are encouraged to apply as well. The nine-week long research projects are performed at one of the many participating universities and national laboratories throughout the country.
