Where this chapter book really stands out, is in the adorable illustrations. Anne Kennedy has the ability to create a scene for a story that is simple, but with enough details to keep the eye busy. Her characters are adorable and I find myself looking back over the illustrations smiling as I go. They are the perfect little illustrations for a chapter book that kids will want to read over and over again.
